why join?

What are the Benefits of Membership?

Professional Skill Development
Members are welcome to attend our bi-monthly workshops and roundtables free of charge. These sessions
focus on a variety of topics relevant to volunteer administration and provide members with practical skills
that they can use to enhance their volunteer programs.

Leadership Opportunities
Members may build their leadership skills by serving in a leadership role with NVAVA. Opportunities are
available for board members and committee members, and there are opportunities throughout the year that
require additional leadership assistance.

Scholarship Opportunities
Members can apply for scholarships to cover the cost of trainings, books, CVA certification, or other
volunteer management related expenses.

Networking and Peer Support
Members share and learn from the skills and expertise of fellow members. Workshops provide in-person
networking opportunities while online forums provide another venue members to exchange ideas and best
practices.

Awards and Recognition
NVAVA members are eligible to be nominated for two annual awards, the New Professional Award and
the Sandra Lee Fitch Volunteer Administrator of the Year Award.
